HOT LUCK’S 3RD ANNUAL FESTIVAL RETURNS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, MAY 23 – 26

Austin\’s Hottest Event is returning for its  3rd year! Hot Luck: Live Food & Music Festival returns Memorial Day Weekend, May 23–26, 2019, for four days of fire, food, music, camaraderie and fun for all. Spearheaded and founded by James Beard Award-winner Aaron Franklin, Guerilla Suit principal and Mohawk owner James Moody, and Mike Thelin, co-founder of Feast Portland, this Texas-sized get-together is a DIY casserole of the culinary and music world.

Hot Luck’s hottest ticket, the Whole Enchilada, is on sale now! This popular, limited ticket includes access to all food events with early entry and priority access to all music shows. Additionally, one of Hot Luck’s most popular events, Hi, How Are You?, previously held on Thursday night at Franklin Barbecue, will move to Friday night for a larger neighborhood block party. This is the event where Aaron Franklin invites you into his backyard to experience the best barbecue in the world while kicking back with chef friends, live music, and cold beer. 

In its third year, Hot Luck Festival will host a series of customizable events all around the city, with live music and signature culinary events every night in the city’s most iconic venues, but this year the event will be bigger and better with a few new surprises. Stay tuned for a complete lineup of chefs, music, and events to be announced in February. 

For the film fans, you will be excited to hear that a mouthwatering film + food series across multiple cities in conjunction with Alamo Drafthouse is in the works. Details to be announced at a later date. 

In true Austin fashion, Hot Luck is proud to donate a portion of the festival’s proceeds to a local nonprofit. This year the beneficiary is The SAFE Alliance. The SAFE Alliance is a merger of Austin Children’s Shelter and SafePlace, both long-standing and respected human service agencies in Austin serving the survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, exploitation, and domestic violence.
