VICTORY LAP TO OPEN IN WEST CAMPUS

Victory Lap, an elevated sports bar, will open just in time for Longhorn football on Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Austin’s West Campus. The bar with a
combination inside/outside space situated in close proximity to the University of Texas at Austin main campus is the latest concept from Austin-based NoCo Hospitality, which also manages Superstition, Estelle’s, Higher Ground and Skinny’s Off Track Bar.

Victory Lap will open early for tailgaters and close late for guests to drink, dine and play in a vintage sports bar dripping with the colors and memorabilia of Austin’s home college team. The interiors convey the sophistication of a grown-up neighborhood getaway for sports fans centered around the rich history of the University of Texas and their dynamic athletic program.

Victory Lap will blend a neighborhood feel with nostalgic décor, giving students and alumni common ground to support their alma mater.
The exterior of Victory Lap has been transformed from a parking lot to turf field with ample outdoor seating, misters and fans to keep guests comfortable on warm game days, and a large screen and TVs for optimal game viewing. The cocktail menu will consist of 8 beers on draft, rotating menu of bottled beers, wine and signature cocktails such as a Dirty Shirley, Texas Mule, Espresso Martini, Spicy Watermelon Margarita, and more. Happy hour will consist of $2 wells, $5 cocktails, $2 off drafts, $1 off cans and bottles, from 4 pm – 7 pm Monday through Friday and 11 am to 2 pm Saturday and Sunday. Later this Fall, Victory Lap will also serve bar food specialties like smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, chicken caesar wraps, wings, hot
dogs, fries, cauliflower bites, and more. At that time, the bar will introduce a weekly 3 Peat special that includes a beer, shot and bar snack for $11.

“We want to provide Austinites with a great experience for every stage of their life, whether they are a college student or a fan of any age,” explained operating partner Anthony Gonzalez. “Victory Lap will be the destination for hometown or visiting Longhorn and sports fans to celebrate their team in an elevated environment.”
The popular Austin-based media company When Where What, will be holding its third year of Longhorn tailgate events at Victory Lap this season. Prior to every UT home game, When Where What will take over the entire venue featuring a DJ, lawn games, and gameday photo opportunities.
