I’ve got real love for the learning aspects at @austinfoodwine Fest to include the Chef Demo Tents, Tasting Sessions, and Meet the Maker Series!
Day one:
We got a tour of Burgundy with Thibaut Marquis of Louis Jadot at a tasting session. We tasted 4 wines from Chablis to Burgundy while learning history of the regions, the styles of wine making in the area and touched on the geology of Beaujolais.
Attended the Taste for Cabernet With Sequoia Grove Winery Featuring Chef Jason Dady during Meet the Maker. The tasting included their 2021 Chardonnay and 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon paired with Caramelized Cauliflower and Herbed Crusted Rainbow Trout. The session included great tidbits on wine & food pairings.
And caught a Cooking Demo with Cheetie Kumar of @ajjaeats.
