NEW FREDERICKSBURG FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL DEMO STAGE ADD-ONS PROMISE

Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival, details for the immersive culinary and beverage demonstration stages have been revealed. The Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce made this announcement. Ticket sales for the additional events will begin on Thursday, September 12th. The culinary demonstration stage will host add-on events. The beverage demonstration stage will also host add-on events. These events offer kitchen- and bar-savvy badge holders the opportunity to interact with and learn from Central Texas’ top leaders in hospitality. All this will happen in an intimate setting.

The interactive demonstrations will be offered during the Grand Tasting event on Saturday, October 26th with extra details below. Culinary demonstrations will be on sale for $75. Antonelli’s wine pairing event and Becker Vineyards’ blending event will be on sale for $45 each. The other beverage add-ons will be open to all festival attendees. Guests can engage in Q+A’s post-demonstration. They can purchase acclaimed cookbooks by demonstrators. Book signings and more activities are also available. These allow participants to keep the conversation going.

“This year, they are elevating the guest experience at the festival to include premier add-ons. These will allow badge-holders to learn and take the food and wine festival’s inspiration home. They will do so in the form of new knowledge,” says Festival Producer Hayley Wakefield. “Through the additions of add-ons, the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce aims to create a personalized experience. They want to provide a customizable experience for each attendee.”

Culinary Demonstration Stages:

Prime Cuts with Mesquite at the Warehouse – Meat lovers are invited to join Chef Hunter Huffman in an exploration of savory meat cuts, learning the grading differences between choice, prime, and wagyu and indulging in a steak fanatic’s dream with wine pairings by Uplift Winery. 1:15 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Limited 28-person seating. $75

Junebug’s Memphis in May Winning Ribs and Texas Caviar – In-the-know foodies can get a sneak-peek taste of what’s to come at the soon-to-open Junebug’s restaurant at The Albert Hotel. The menu will be crafted under the expert guidance of Justin Spencer, New Waterloo’s Head of Food & Beverage, and a nationally recognized barbecue pitmaster. In this exclusive culinary demo, Justin, along with the talented Michael Fojtasek, will showcase their famous Memphis in May Award Winning Ribs and a flavorful Texas Caviar. Guests will also enjoy a perfectly paired Brisket Washed Old Fashioned by The Saloon, a Fredericksburg historic watering hole dating back to 1888.

Butter Up with Leroy’s Tex Mex BBQ – In this interactive demonstration, kitchen-aficionados willdelve into the art of making fresh butter tortillas with Chef Gus Beuershausen, sampling Leroy’s famous brisket burnt ends and imbibing in sustainably-grown, 100% Texas High Plains wine from Jenschke Orchards.

3:15 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Limited 28-person ticketed seating. $75

Wild Boar Breakdown – This extended-version demo stage will showcase the finesse of Dai Due’s Chef Jesse Griffiths as he shares about the culinary potential of wild hogs, breaks down a whole wild boar on stage, and expertly prepares a decadent wild boar Rouladen live for guests to taste. Flavor-lovers will also have the opportunity to sample a glass of wine expertly paired by winemaker Rae Wilson, the visionary leader behind Wine For the People.

4:15 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Limited 28-person ticketed seating. $75

Beverage Demonstration Stages:

Harnessing the Spirit of Juniper with Hill Country Herb Garden – Aromatics will reign in this beverage demonstration as herbalist Lauren Peterson guides guests through the prominent botanicals involved in gin-distillation, crafting an autumnal gin cocktail with samples, and a how-to for DIY-ers to infuse their own gin.

1:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Non-ticketed; open to all.

Concept to Cocktail with Albert Hotel – Festival attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the art of the cocktail at The Albert Hotel’s mixology demo, led by The Saloon’s Lead Bartender Chris Gere. Each cocktail is crafted to reflect the distinct personalities of each concept: a Whiskey Sour from The Saloon, a Cold Brew Negroni from The Pharmacy, and an “After Work Tea,” a creative spin on a Ramos Gin Fizz that incorporates matcha and basil, from the culinary heart of The Restaurant at Albert Hotel.

Mild to Wild Antonelli’s Cheese + Wine Pairing – Central Texas icons and nationally-acclaimed Becker Vineyards, William Chris Vineyards and Antonelli’s Cheese come together in this demonstration that demystifies the art of cheese and wine pairings, including a tasting of five styles of cheeses paired with wines and served alongside classic pickled, preserved, honeyed and chocolatey accompaniments.

2:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Limited 32-person ticketed seating. $45

Blend It Like Becker Blending Competition – Ticket-holders will participate in a wine blending workshop led by the esteemed Becker Vineyards team before embarking on a competition to craft their own signature wine blends, design bottle labels, and submit their creations to a panel of Becker judges for the chance to win the top prize. 3:45 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Limited 48-person ticketed seating $45.

Elevate Your Home Bartending with Chase’s Place – In this inclusive mixology demonstration, guests can seize the chance to stir rich old fashioneds, experiment with non-alcoholic mocktails and learn hacks for using kitchen staples and infusions to wow guests. Beverages won’t stand alone in this demonstration as seasonal, farm-to-table dishes will accompany each sip. 4:45 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Non-ticketed; open to all.
