Heath Family Brands Shine at the Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition

Hi Amy,
Hope you had a nice weekend! Heath Family Brands had another stellar showing at the Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition, earning 17 new 90+ point scores, including two Platinum medals for wines scoring 94 points — and Best in Show honors in two categories.
This builds on last year’s success, where Heath Family Brands received 14 Gold medals/90+ scores at the competition.
In 2025, they took the honors even further with:

  • 15 Gold medals (scoring 90+ points)
  • 2 Platinum medals (94 points each)

Best in Show Winners:

  • Best Tannat – Heath Family Estate 2021 The Individualist (Texas Hill Country) Gold – 92 points
  • Best Viognier – Grape Creek Vineyards 2022 Viognier (Texas) Gold – 93 points

Platinum Winners:

  • Heath Sparkling Wines Adoration 2021 (American) Platinum – 94 points
  • Kuhlman Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 (Alexander Valley) Platinum – 94 points

This year also marks a major milestone with Kuhlman Estate receiving its first-ever 90+ point scores (Kuhlman was purchased by HFB last year) and was the highest rated vintage of Heath Sparkling’s Adoration, a sparkling rosé.
These wins bring the total 90+ point wines to a remarkable 216 across Heath Family Brands — a true testament to the vision and precision of winemaker Jason Englert and his team.
