This south Austin spot is keeping on theme for Derby Day this year with Mint Juleps and Kentucky Mules. Armadillo Den will also be handing out door prizes for the best dressed to walk in the building!

Derby fans far and wide, Juliet Italian Kitchen is hosting its first annual Kentucky Derby Hat Party with Makers Mark! The party starts at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday May 3, where you’ll find crazy hats galore and the race on multiple TVs at both the Arboretum location and Barton Springs Location! Guests who partake in the fashion tradition of Derby Hats will be entered to compete in the Big Hat Contest for a chance to win two tickets to a Juliet Wine Dinner! For $10 a ticket, guests will get a complimentary Run for the Roses Mint Julep, access to a hot and cold southern buffet, sweet treats, exclusive Derby-themed Juliet swag! Here’s what you can expect on the buffet:

- Fried Chicken

Head on over to East Austin for your Derby day at Dainty Dillo! Dainty Dillo will have drink specials on Mint Juleps and Lilly’s flowing all day and will show the race on their multiple TV screens! In typical Derby fashion, Dainty Dillo is hosting its very own Derby Day Hat Contest! The winner of the hat contest will receive a $100 Dainty Dillo Gift card.
