On November 9th Seventy7degrees along with Sterling Affairs Catering And Events with the help of several sponsors held the first annual Austin Oyster Festival. The event took place at the gorgeous Shoal Crossing event center. The entry fee included 4 tickets to purchase carefully paired food and drinks.
The raw bar offered eight varieties of East coast oysters, Gulf oysters and oyster shooters.

Grilled and fried menu options included grill \’n chill shrimp, grilled oysters Au Gratin, grilled oyster Rockefeller, fried oyster and shrimp po\’boys, crawfish boulettes and pommes frites.

Each food menu item was paired with your choice of wine or beer to compliment the food tasting. In addition local craft beer such as Stash IPA and Rogness Rook, wine and specialty cocktails were available for purchase. Mixologist Charlie of Haddington\’s served three creative cocktails, notably The Roebling was a hit with our group.

Entertainment was provided by Nikki Jensen and Mudphonic inside and John Brack held a Beermaking 101 class. A charity raffle was held benefiting both The Nature Conservancy of Texas and The Smile Never Fades.
The event was well planned and beautifully executed. I look forward to this amazing event next year.
