Cho Sushi Japanese Fusion in Lakway Turns Two

Half priced nigiri during Cho\’s anniversary party
Cho Sushi celebrated their 2 year anniversary yesterday at their Lakeway location. Guests enjoyed food and drink specials to include:
Half price on all sushi and rolls
$5 calamari and gyoza
Complimentary edamame
$2.50 Sapporo and Kirin
$4 Hana sake
$20 bottle of Ty-Ku Silver and select bottles of wine
There were also various sake and wine tastings throughout the evening.
My first dining experience at Cho was opening month with Way Out West so it was only fitting we met up to celebrate their two year anniversary! I ordered the Bentley, tiger eye and J.C. rolls. The J.C. roll is named after the owner, John Cho, and has the perfect balance of heat versus sweet. The J.C. consists of succulent soft shell crab topped with spicy tuna, jalapeno, masago and crunch. The Bentley roll is one of my all time favorites at Cho. It consists of fresh fatty tuna, spicy crab and cucumber topped with seared Kobe beef with a hint of sweetness from a honey-bourbon glaze. The rich and tender fatty tuna marries well with the bold flavors of the Kobe beef.
Cho has an excellent happy hour and it is a great place for both date night or meeting up with a group of friends.
