Lately it seems that Burnet Road is booming with new restaurants opening up every other week. Fork + Taco is one of the newest additions to the Burnet Street eats. Fork + Taco opened a few weeks ago and was greeted with an excited lunch crowd. I dined in on opening day and was impressed with the swift ordering process and I enjoyed the comfortable and bright atmosphere. They have bar seating, communal tables, 4 tops and a cozy dog friendly patio.

The menu consists of 3 tacos each of beef, pork, chicken, fish and veggie. Naturally I chose the ahi tuna taco which consists of tender ahi tuna, fresh slices of avocado, pickled ginger, tangy citrus, sesame and a delightful soy crema sauce. The combination of flavors were refreshing and bright. I also liked the texture and thickness of the house made corn tortilla.

In addition to the enticing tacos they also serve a nice selection of craft beers, Austin East Ciders and reasonably priced wines by the glass.
