Lucky\’s Puccias & Pizzeria Brick-and-Mortar Now Open

Lucky\’s Puccias and Pizzeria Restaurant

Full disclosure: I attended a complimentary tasting during the soft opening. All opinions are my own.

Lucky\’s Puccias food trailer is a wildly popular sandwich hot spot that has gained a large following over the past four years. It is wonderful to see Lucky\’s passion and hard work truly paying off as his dreams unfold.  Lucky recently opened a brick-and-mortar serving his irresistible puccias and has expanded the restaurant menu by adding fresh salads, exciting new appetizers, rustic wood-fired pizzas, decadent desserts and a wine/beer selection. If you are looking for quality Italian fare look no further than the kitchen of Lucky Sibilla. The restaurant uses organic vegetables and local ingredients when possible to include Austin\’s own Con\’ Olio oils.

Lucky\’s Puccia – Signature Sandwich

Lucky studied bread making in Italy as a teen and has perfected his craft. There is nothing like his dense chewy bread that is baked fresh daily. I tried the signature Lucky\’s puccia which has prosciutto, tomato, delicious mozzarella, fresh arugula and a hint of heat from the chipotle aioli. The flavor combination compliment each other perfectly.

Lucky\’s Puccias – Platter of the Vegetariana and

The menu offers two enticing antipasti plates. The di terra is a wine lovers dream with delectable cheeses, richly flavored meats, olives and bread. The vegetariana is loaded with caprese grilled veggies, zucchini and bread.

Lucky\’s Puccias – Renato Wood-Fired Oven
Lucky\’s Puccias – Capricciosa Pizza
The wood-fired pizzas are baked in their custom built Renato oven made in Garland, Texas. All the made-to-order pizzas I tried were delicious with the savory capricciosa topped with fresh tomatoes, artichoke hearts, creamy mozzarella, ham, spicy salami, mushroom being my favorite.

Lucky\’s Puccias and Pizzeria Features a Variety of Italian Wines

The wine menu offers several Italian wines with two of them being from the owner\’s home region of Puglia in Southern Italy.

Make sure to save room for dessert! The dessert menu includes a traditional tiramisu, a blissful tortino di ciocolato and Dolce Neve Gelato.

When Lucky was asked what are you most excited about with the restaurant opening he responded giving my customers the space they deserve. The sincerity of his response speaks volumes. He opened this restaurant for you his beloved customers so please come and enjoy! Starting Monday, January 19th Lucky\’s Puccias and Pizzeria will be serving lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
