Cover 3 recently opened downtown just in time for the biggest sports event of the year, the Super Bowl! Cover 3 is the perfect blend of sports bar and fine dining. It is an excellent place to enjoy happy hour after work, a business lunch, watch the games on their ample flat screens throughout the restaurant and are also the perfect place for a nice dinner with upscale cuisine and fine cocktails. They also have a beautiful private dining area to accommodate special events and parties. Chef Kirk Doyle along with owners Doug Young and Matt Dodson have done a wonderful job developing the menu and launching the new location.
Come by for the daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and enjoy discounted drinks and appetizers. Lunch is served weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. I recommend the 1/2 portion Doug\’s certified reuben served with the daily soup or one of their gorgeous salads off the lunch menu.

Weekend brunch is an Austinite\’s favorite way to start off the day. Cover 3 serves brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to include their famous bloody Mary bar complete with bacon and shrimp. Their make-your-own bloody Mary bar has the nicest spread in town!

The dinner menu has some excellent seafood and both USDA choice and USDA prime beef options. My favorite dinner menu items include the generously portioned Cover 3 Salad with salmon, Hong Kong salmon in a light ginger-soy broth, the lightly seared ahi tuna with udon noodles, and the delicious chilled shrimp and crab tower. The phenomenal wine selection offers beautiful pairings for all their cuisine.
The variety of sliders, incredible hot wings and nachos are a game day favorite and pair nicely with their selection of Texas craft beers.
