Full Disclosure: I attended a media preview of 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar & the Rose Room and received complimentary cocktails & bites at 77 Degrees. All opinions are my own.
77 Degrees Rooftop Bar is an adult oasis on Rock Rose Avenue located above St. Genevieve. Upon walking into the beautiful rooftop bar you and your guests will instantly feel fabulous. The crisp white decor has touches of ice blue, red and wood. There are hanging chairs, welcoming cabanas and other comfortable seating areas to lounge throughout the sprawling patio. The bar is well prepared for the elements with both a fire place for those chilly fall & winter nights and misters for use during Texas\’ sultry summers.

The refreshing ice cold cocktails I tried had a tropical vibe that is complimented with delicious palette pleasers like savory beef empanadas and fire grilled skewers.

| Singapore Sling Cocktail at 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar |
The thirst quenching Singapore Sling cocktail is the perfect way to beat the summer heat. This stunning cocktail has Bombay East Gin, Cherry Heering, Benedictine, pineapple juice, lime and soda.

| Cayman Account Cocktail at 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar |
The Cayman Account cocktail complete with garnish of a pineapple parrot is as a fun drink that will give you something good to squawk about. The towering drink has Bacardi 8, Meyers Dark Rum, Rhum Barbancourt, fresh squeezed pineapple & orange juice, ginger beer and garnished with pineapple. This cocktail is nicely balanced with sweetness from the juice and a subtle bite from the ginger beer.

The Goose Lime cocktail is reminiscent of yet different than a mojito. This simple yet wonderful cocktail has Grey Goose Citron, Cointreau and fresh lime.

| Pinchos a la Parrilla at 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar |
Their enticing Pinchos a la Parrilla (skewered meat) comes with a delightful honey-habanero aioli and are on a bed of comforting sweet-corn plantain mash. Guests get their choice of bacon wrapped grilled shrimp, guava glazed chicken skewers and a hearty spicy soy marinated skirt steak. You cannot go wrong with any of the three but our favorite is the perfectly cooked plump shrimp tucked into crisp bacon.

I am a sucker for empanadas and these crispy golden Beef Empanadas did not disappoint! They are stuffed with ground beef, diced potato, onions, garlic and topped with a brightly flavored sweet mojito sauce and cheese.

| Black Bean Hummus at 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar |
The Black Bean Hummus drizzled with cilantro lime aioli, topped with cheese and served with crispy plantain chips goes perfectly with their tropical cocktails.
77 Degrees Rooftop Bar offers amazing specials throughout the week:
Monday – Friday happy hour is offered from 3pm-7pm and includes $5 Select Appetizers, $5 Wells, $4 Mexican Beers.
Wednesday Nights it is all about the hookah! During their \”Havana Hookah Nights\” they offer specials on hookah all day.
You might not be able to get away to an island vacation this summer but a visit to 77 Degrees Rooftop Bar will transport you to a magical tropical place right here in Austin, TX.

And now for the Rose Room! The Rose Room is an upscale nightclub on Rock Rose that is in soft opening this holiday weekend. The stunning three story nightclub with DJs spinning and dancing highly encouraged will officially open on July 8th at 10pm. For table reservations call (512) 743-1400. Hours are 10pm – 2am.
We toured the nightclub while it was under construction however keep an eye out for a full review and more details as we are previewing the highly anticipated Rose Room next week.
