I recently enjoyed a lovely evening on Olamaie\’s recently revamped found myself completely charmed! The ambiance of their patio and garden is enchanting and relaxing. They offer a delectable new \”Porch Menu\” filled with delectable bites and Communal Punch dressed to perfection with edible flowers. From savory to sweet and everything in between, Olamaie has it covered. The debut of the spruced outdoor dining area and delightful new menu is just in time for Austin\’s patio weather making Olamaie a top pick for al fresco dining.
On our visit we tried a variety of bites such as Spiced Bar Nuts ($3), Radish Crudite ($4), scrumptious deviled eggs ($4), Texas Pickled Okra ($4), a splendid Pickled Shrimp Remoulade, Pimento Lady Sandwiches ($6), and hams of the the south accompanied with orange butter & hush puppies ($15).
The cocktail and drink menu showcases Southern staples, bottle service for creative patio sippers and a variety of refreshing punch bowls. The inviting patio and garden make for the perfect date night, ladies outing, afterwork gathering and more. Olamaie is open seven nights a week from 5pm – 10pm.
The restaurant hosts one of a kind events to include an upcoming special evening with Donkey & Goat winemaker, Jared Brandt, on Wednesday, May 17 at 6:00 p.m. The five course dinner will be paired with the exceptional wines of Jared and Tracey Brandt, whose hands-off approach exemplifies the best of contemporary, natural California winemaking.
