Disclaimer: I attended a complimentary tasting at Cane Rosso. All opinions are my own.
Dallas born Cane Rosso expanded to Austin in 2016, delighting Austinites with their wood fired Neapolitan pizzas, delectable pastas and tantalizing appetizers. Executive Chef Josh Healy recently launched new menu items at the Austin location and we recently dined in to check out the new bites.

Brussels at Cane Rosso Austin |
We started our dining experience with Chef Jeff\’s fresh take on Brussels Sprouts. The addicting appetizer has bacon marmalade, Granny Smiths apples and honey dijon vin.

Crispy Potatoes at Cane Rosso Austin |
Equally delightful are the Crispy Italian Potatoes. These crispy bite sized apps are made with Yukon Golds, pecorino seasoning and a delicious side of chimichurri.

St Louis Ribs at Cane Rosso Austin |
The fall off the bone tender slow cooked Wood-Fired St. Louis style Ribs served with house BBQ sauce are a must try! This is comfort food at its best and is perfect for game day.

Carbonara at Cane Rosso Austin |
We swooned over the rich Carbonara with pappardelle, truffle egg sauce, bacon, sprinkled in Parmesan and drizzled in cream. If you like Carbonara, you will love the one at Cane Rosso.

Pomodoro at Cane Rosso Austin |
On the lighter side, the Pomodoro in white wine sauce, tomatoes, scallions and lemon is perfect for warm weather on the patio.

Street Taco Pizza at Cane Rosso |
I LOVE the Street Taco Pizza drizzled in Chef\’s dreamy molé sauce which has a hint of cinnamon and topped with guacamole, red onions, creamy housemade mozzarella, generous amounts of cilantro and incorporates brisket from Austin\’s beloved Valentina\’s Tex Mex BBQ.
Notably, Cane Rosso have an exceptional wine list, local brews and a refreshing cocktail menu. We enjoyed the fizzy Prickly Pear Paloma, Frozen Negroni and their fun take on a Moscow Mule. Happy hour is a Monday-Friday form 5pm – 7pm and is a great introduction to their bites and libations.
What\’s to come? Keep your eyes out for exciting new brunch menu items. Brunch is served both Saturday & Sunday from 11am – 3pm. And if you needed any more reasons to love Cane Rosso, the patio is super pup friendly and notably the owner founded Cane Rosso Rescue which has saved 100s of four legged friends.
