Hot Luck Live Food & Music Fest 2018

Ya\’ll, consider your weekends plans made!! The Hot Luck Live Food & Music Fest is happening May 24th – May 27th. The Texas sized get-together is a chef-driven event, celebration of fire, food, music and more. The stellar Chef and Music lineup is unbelievable. The start studded 50+ chef lineup includes Aaron Franklin, Yoshi Okai, Steve McHugh, Stephen Bonin just to name a few. Put on those dancing shoes (or boots) because the the talented music lineup is equally impressive. And a portion of proceeds benefit @safe_alliance Austin. So come out and fest, feast and dance for a cause at this one if a kind Austin fest!

Our friends at Bread and Butter shared some information about what will be served at a couple of the Chefs and restaurants:

NIGHT COURT: FRIDAY, MAY 25

Second Bar + Kitchen and Boiler Nine featuring Regional Executive Chef Jason Stude
Dish: Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich with mashed potatoes, white gravy and pickled green beans on a dinner roll
Jason Stude holds an appreciation for every aspect of food – from flavors and texture, to providing a delicious dining experience for his guests. Throughout his career, Chef Stude has received the National Association of Catering Executives Award for Culinary Excellence. Plus, was crowned the winner of Food Network’s popular show, Chopped, in 2013. At Boiler Nine Bar + Grill, Stude leads the kitchen to create delicious plates of wood-fire and ember-roasted cuisine using local ingredients from farmers and purveyors that practice sustainable and responsible practices

Geraldine’s of Hotel Van Zandt featuring Executive Chef Stephen Bonin
Dish: Country Toast topped with collard greens, pork belly and chow chow
Stephen Bonin’s eagerness to expand his culinary knowledge led him to Austin, where he attended Le Cordon Bleu. Since earning his degree, Bonin has gone on to experience great success in many of Austin’s top restaurants, including épicerie, Odd Duck and The Driskill Grill. As Geraldine’s Executive Chef, Bonin is responsible for curating an ever-changing menu that features dishes that showcase the seasonal flavors that embody the region. Bonin’s vast experience working in well-respected restaurants, coupled with his Texas roots, has made him a perfect match for Geraldine’s and their culinary direction.
