If you enjoy beer, wine. spirits and coffee, then The Yard is the place to visit! Neighbors Still Austin Whiskey Co. and Spokesman Coffee Roasters collaborated for an exciting seasonal and limited release collaboration that you will definitely want to get your hands on for the holidays. Delevante Coffee Liqueur is a silky and rich whiskey liqueur with chocolate and cherry notes making it the perfect festive cocktail ingredient or it can be enjoyed sipped chilled. StillAustin Whiskey Co. is hosting the launch of the new spirit on November 17. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy tastings and specialty cocktails. I will be sure to purchase a few for the upcoming holiday parties. *In true Austin spirit, a portion of cocktail sales will benefit the distillery’s charity of the month, Emancipet, a local non-profit organization making high-quality spray/neuter and veterinary care affordable and accessible to all pet owners.
The coffee liqueur is named for Still Austin’s Master Distiller, Mike Delevante, who originally created the recipe using rum. Still Austin puts a unique twist on the new version by crafting the liqueur with their own whiskey. Delevante created his first liqueur forty-five years ago from beans harvested from the famous Marley Coffee family farm in Jamaica. Delevante’s passion for local spirits and collaboration led to an introduction to Still Austin’s neighbor, Spokesman Coffee Roasters.
