FIERCE WHISKERS DISTILLERY CHEF SERIES PRESENTS ONE NIGHT ONLY DINING EXPERIENCE WITH UCHI EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF VAIDAS IMSHA 

With two seatings, guests will enjoy an exclusive sneak peek of Uchibā, Uchi’s yakitori spin-off set to open in Austin next year

Fierce Whiskers Distillery Chef Series is excited to partner with Uchi Executive Sous Chef Vaidas Imsha for an exclusive sneak peek of the second location of Uchibā, a yakitori spin-off from Austin’s famed sushi institution, Uchi. Uchi opened Uchibā above Uchi Dallas in 2019 and the Austin location will open in summer 2023 in the Google Tower at 601 W. Second St. With two seatings available on Sunday, November 13, Uchi’s Executive Sous Chef Vaidas Imshi will take guests through a family-style meal of yakitori, bao, and other delicious dishes set to appear on the menu of the newest Uchibā when it opens next year.

The dinner will include eight unique dishes and three paired cocktails created exclusively with Fierce Whiskers’ in-house spirits and inspired by the flavors of the menu, all to be enjoyed with the beautiful distillery as the backdrop. Jason Kosmas, the beverage director at Hai Hospitality, is creating the cocktail menu for the event. Both seatings will take place on the distillery’s outdoor lawn and will give guests a close-up look at the creation of the meal. Tickets to this exclusive meal series are $175 per person and can be purchased on Tock HERE with limited seating available on Sunday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Fierce Whiskers Chef Series: Uchibā Eight Course Menu Includes:

Edamame with jalapeño hummus and yucca chips

Charred shishitos with kimchi caramel

Hirame usuzukuri – crudo-flounder, tobiko, and candied quinoa 

Wagyu beef and mushroom dumplings

Bao bun with grilled pork belly and tiger fry relish

Shrimp skewer-sambal with tapioca furikake

Negi toro – bluefin tuna, charred romaine, and salsa macha 

Okashi-crispy bao, coconut ice cream, koji and banana caramel

Fierce Whiskers Chef Series aims to cultivate experiences outside of traditional dining and support local chefs. As such, all profits for this event will go to Executive Sous Chef Vaidas Imsha and his team. Following the November 13 dinner, Fierce Whiskers will be hosting Chef Diego Sanchez, creator of Llama Kid, for a preview of his new peruvian restaurant Andina on November 19.
