Ramen Tatsu-Ya launched their lunch soft opening this weekend featuring tori (chicken) shoyu ramen. They will open for lunch on the weekends from noon until 3 p.m. (or until they sell out) through August with plans to extend lunch service into weekdays in September.
The lunch menu is simple, they are serving their tori shoyu with the option to add additional slices of chashu (pork belly), ajitama (marinated soft boiled egg) and spicy bomb.
The tori broth is flavorful yet lighter than the tonkotsu making it easier to eat during lunch. The ramen is complimented by thick noodles, fresh chives, a savory piece of choshu and creamy ajitama. Their tori shoyu ramen is the ultimate comfort food and I will certainly be back for some more Ol\’ Skool lunch.
