Italic Restaurant Austin
Italic is one of the most highly anticipated restaurant openings of 2015 in Austin and they have lived up to the hype. The gorgeous interior leaves a tantalizing first impression and is matched by impeccable service, incredible Italian fare and an exceptional drink program.
Limoncello Martini Vodka, Limoncello from Italic
We started off with their zesty limoncello martini. This cocktail is fabulous and is the perfect drink as we enter the spring and summer months.
Wine Cellar at Italic
The wine cellar is a focal point of the restaurant and is what all wine lovers dreams are made of! The cellar located at the center of the restaurant proudly displays the exceptional Italian wines Italic has to offer.
cheese served with fig & pistachio mostarda, rustic italian bread from Italic
For our antipasti we chose the cheese served with fig & pistachio mostarda served with Italian bread. The chewy rustic bread, earthy cheese, smooth tasty fig and tangy pistachio mostarda pair beautifully with a glass of rose.
Seared Calamari olives, blood oranges, mint, escarole, almonds from Italic
For our primi we opted for the seared calamari. This pleasantly unique dish has lightly charred calamari, green olives, blood oranges, mint, escarole and almonds. The delightful flavors of citrus, nutty and olive works well with the perfectly prepared tender calamari.
Bucatini all’amatriciana pork belly, tomato, red chili flakes, pecorino from Italic
We couldn\’t dine at this shiny new Italian restaurant without indulging in their fresh made pastas! For our entree we ordered the savory bucatini all’amatriciana. The thick perfectly cooked noodles are topped with pieces of rich pork belly, fresh tomato and flavored to perfection with red chili flakes & pecorino. Italic offers smaller portions of their pastas for the lighter appetite and it allows guests to try multiple dishes.
Beet Panna Cotta with crumb, citrus and cream from Italic
We finished off our rustic Italian experience proper with their house-made panna cotta. The beautifully flavored beet penna cotta was balanced perfectly with citrus, crumb and light & airy cream.
Open Kitchen at Italic
Now that you have a taste of what their flavor compelling cuisine is like, let\’s take a look around at this stunning restaurant. The open kitchen gives the restaurant a level of transparency as guests have a bird\’s eye view of the chefs in action.
Front Dining Room and Wall Art at Italic
The artwork ties in with the decor and theme of the restaurant with ease.
Back Dining Room at Italic
The clean lines of the warm wood and industrial metals are aesthetic and do not overwhelm the simple decor of the restaurant.
