Grand Opening of Lick Ice Creams\’ New South Lamar Home

Lick Honest Ice Creams has moved its flagship location on 2032 S. Lamar Blvd to Greystar’s Lamar Union shopping district on 1100 S. Lamar Blvd and is opening the doors to the new location April 5th! Lick is inviting the public to celebrate the move with a free scoop from 7pm-10pm on April 5th. All proceeds on April 5th will benefit Hill Country Ride for AIDS (HCRA), and Lick will be accepting donations for the local nonprofit throughout the week. Event details can be found HERE. Co-Owners Anthony Sobotik and Chad Pamatier are thrilled to open just down the road so that they can keep serving the wonderful neighborhoods that have supported them for since opening their doors in 2011. Lick Ice Cream Lamar Union

We got a sneak peek of the new location and I am excited to share there is so much in store! The new digs have ample parking at the Lamar Union garage, the space is larger with a couple of high top tables & barstool seating and they have those same beloved local flavors that we all enjoy so much. Lick Ice Cream at Lamar Union is the perfect place to stop in for a scoop or three either before and after a movie at the Alamo Drafthouse, makes for a sweet date night and is an outing that the whole family can enjoy.

My favorite way to start my experience at Lick Ice Cream is to find out what the newest seasonal offerings are and try a couple of samples. Here are the incredibly creative and delicious seasonal offerings available now:

Tequila Lime Pie – A tangy mix of sweet lime curd made with G & S Groves limes, local eggs, and crisp, buttery graham cracker cookie then spike with Austin’s own Dolce Vida organic tequila. Salud!

Oranges & Fennel – Easily my new seasonal favorite! This luscious ice cream is made with juicy G&S Groves oranges and fresh Texas fennel flavor this bright and refreshing citrus. 

Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie – A harmonious blend of Great Bean Chocolate ice cream with creamy peanut butter and big chunks of decadent brownie.

Sweet Lemon, Gin & Juniper – This splendid flavor has Genius Gin and juniper berry-soaked spongecake speckles sweet G&S Groves meyer lemon ice cream.

Grapefruit with Champagne Marshmallows – This spirited flavor has their homemade Champagne marshmallows with a splendidly tart & refreshing grapefruit ice cream.
