Hopdoddy Burger Bar Launches Plant Based Impossible Burger

Impossible Burger at Hopdoddy Burger Bar

Full Disclosure: I attended a media preview tasting and received a complimentary Impossible Burger at Hopdoddy Burger Bar. All opinions are my own.

The Impossible Foods famous meaty plant-based burger debuted at all Texas Hopdoddy Burger Bar locations on June 23rd. I tried the Impossible Burger at their preview party and Impossible Foods showed us that the impossible is possible! The burger patty mimics the texture, taste and appearance of a beef burger making it a great burger option for vegetarians and meat eaters alike!

Hopdoddy Burger Bar\’s version is a take on its “Classic Burger,” using the Impossible Foods patty and topped with Tillamook cheddar, green leaf lettuce, white onion, tomatoes and their signature “Sassy Sauce” on a brioche bun ($14). The delicious burger can also be customized with a whole wheat bun for an entirely plant-based option. Hopdoddy has also partnered with Texan Saint Arnold Brewery to pair “The Impossible” with their 5 O’Clock Pils. We also recommend pairing the delicious burger with Hopdoddy\’s addicting Kennebec Fries.

So what is the Impossible Burger? The Impossible Burger is made entirely from plants which results in 25% of the water used, 5% of the land used, and emits 13% of the greenhouse gases emitted to make a burger from cows. The ingredients are pure and simple: Water, Textured Wheat Protein, Coconut Oil, Potato Protein, Natural Flavors. With Hopdoddy\’s commitment to sustainability and quality, the launch of the Impossible Burger is a perfect match. The burger is the brain child of Patrick O. Brown, M.D. Ph.D. in his pursuit to change the global food system by producing sustainable meat and dairy products from plants. In other words, a delicious burger you can feel good about.

  1. The manager at this event venue suggested we make custom choices and make the menu a little more personalized. The next time you need to hold a conference, have a wedding, or set up a whiskey tasting, think about doing it at this venue.
