Full Disclosure: I attended a media tasting and received a complimentary bites at Polkadots Cupcake Factory. All opinions are my own.
Husband and wife duo Olga and Ben Lee left the corporate world to follow their dreams by opening Polkadots Cupcake Factory the summer of 2008. The cozy cute bakeshop is housed in a 1908 building near UT campus. The bakery bakes up breathtaking cakes, delicious cupcakes, cookies to include creative custom cookies and delectable macarons.
I attended my friend Julie\’s wedding this winter and was blown away by the gorgeous teared cake that also tasted incredible. I recently joined some blogger friends, thanks to friend and fellow blogger Linda of GirlEatsWorld.co, for a wonderful evening of bubbles and bites from Polkadots Cupcake Factory. Upon meeting Olga I was drawn and inspired by her and her husband\’s story. It is infectious being around passionate people that follow their path. From the mini cupcakes to the macarons, my taste buds were delighted.

We were in complete bliss as we sampled our way through Mixed Berries Chardonnay cupcakes, Blackbottom Chocolate cupcakes (my favorite!), Vanilla Vanilla cupcakes topped with sprinkles, Green Tea Macarons, Pistachio Macarons and Strawberry Macarons. What I really love about their baked goods is they taste amazing without going overboard on the sweetness. The texture and moistness on the cake is perfection.
Polkadots Cupcake Factory takes custom cake, cupcakes and cookie orders but you can also drop in from 12pm-8pm and pick out a treat from the shop. The custom cookies have smooth icing, decorated to fit your special occasion and are individually wrapped making them the perfect party favor. The adorable pink building has patio seating and is perfect for a date night. study break and hanging out with friends. Keep this locally owned bakery in mind for your next occasion!

Polkadots is a big reason for my love of cupcakes! I have some great memories from when they first opened and definitely where I recommend friends!
