The highly anticipated opening of Bar Peached is finally here! Bar Peached grand opening is January 8th at 4pm. Eric Silverstein, founder and owner, other projects include the Peached Tortilla restaurants, Peached Social Hose event space and the OG Peached Tortilla Trailers. Other key players include Executive Chef Stephani O’Connor and Beverage Director Kevin Kok. Guests will delight in the cocktails and eats at the new bar-focused restaurant. Customers will find beautiful craft cocktails, gorgeously plated small plates & Asian comfort food, delectable tacos, and bingsu desserts.
I dined in during their soft opening (not sponsored) and was impressed with the beautiful remodel, aesthetic dining room & bar and welcoming patio. Here is a look at the dishes and cocktails we enjoyed:
Kyoto Kiss is a true stunner! This pretty-in-pink cocktail has gin, raspberry, yuzu, shishito and frothy egg white. Yoga & Chill off the draft cocktails menu is the perfect patio sipper of vodka, lime & cucumber water. The vibrant Maple Roasted Carrots are easily me favorite carrot dish in town! The al dente carrots had a nice char and were plated with cilantro chimichurri dragon salt (vegan and gluten free). The savory Confit Duck Foldies are so darn delicious that they lasted about 90 seconds. The dish has richly flavored duck confit, melted mozzarella, fresh slices of cucumber, pleasant tamarind hoisin, cilantro and sliced onions. I appreciate that the menu indicates their gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options.
Make sure the save room for dessert! Bar Peached is one of only two places in Austin that have the special Bingsu machine for Bingsu, a popular Korean shaved iced dessert, and Bar Peached takes a fun twist. We indulged in the surprisingly light Matcha Parfait Bingsu and simply could not get enough! The Matcha Parfait Bingsu has peach ice cream, whipped cream, matcha powder, toasted coconut & almonds, black sesame paste and fresh strawberries. They also have additional flavors like the Instagram-worthy Birthday Cake Bingsu complete with lit candle.
Speaking of Instagram, in true Austin style, Peached has ample photo ops to include \”Practice What you Peach mural\”. Bar Peached is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner and will launch weekend brunch in the spring. Reservations for Bar Peached are available here.
