Desert Door Texas Sotol is sponsoring local Austin musician Jonathan Terrell’s DJ sets at High Noon— Austin’s retro, psychedelic Western bar— every Wednesday 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. throughout April.
The sets will feature Disco and House music and a new margarita called the Terlingua Two-Step, made with Desert Door Texas Sotol and jalapeño for a kick of spice.
Desert Door, which launched in Austin, Texas, in November 2017, produces a line of sotol made from evergreen sotol, or Desert Spoon plant, native to West Texas. Desert Door sotol is available in two variations: The Original Desert Door Texas Sotol and a 100-proof Desert Door Oak-Aged Sotol, both of which come in 750 ml and 50 ml bottles and 200 ml flasks in retailers where Desert Door is sold. Desert Door also has an 8,000-square-feet distillery and tasting room, complete with a patio and event space, located at 211 Darden Hill Road, Driftwood, Texas, offering craft cocktails and tastings. Desert Door earned the title of Best Specialty Craft Spirit Distillery by USA Today in both 2019 and 2020.
