Store front and outside dining |
While the East side of Austin has seen an explosion of new restaurants over the past few years it lacked Japanese fare. WuWu Sushi opened recently filling that niche. The location was a mere foundation 6 months ago and since has transformed into a seemingly quaint structure. Once you enter the doors you are welcomed with bold red walls and rich wooden floors and tables.
WuWu makes the most of their space providing patrons with endless seating options. From the sunny patio, covered porch, cozy sushi bar, bar and bright dining room customers can chose the perfect spot to enjoy sushi and cocktails.

The drink menu bares the GO TEXAN logo as they serve Texas beer, wine and sake. Soon they will start serving Hilmy Cellars wine. I recently visited Hilmy Cellars\’ tasting room in Fredericksburg and tried a few of the wines. I enjoyed the 2010 Politics & Religion made of Merlot and Mourvedre grown in the Texas high planes and I hope that it makes their finalized wine list.
