RedFin Seafood Kitchen

Michael McCollum and Bill Rasch recently opened RedFin Seafood Kitchen in north Austin. The restaurant boasts the freshest seafood, a wood-burning grill serving innovative cuisine, dining al fresco and ultra-chilled beer. Executive Chef Mario Rodriguez, formerly of the W Hotel, has developed incredible menu items appealing to all palates.

Mario Shucking Oysters to Order

 RedFin sources seafood fresh from the Gulf Coast to include shucked to order oysters from the oyster bar and a variety of shrimp dishes. A few of the other enticing seafood dishes include blackened redfish, wood-fired grilled salmon, Moroccan spiced cod and fruitti di mare.

The bar serves ice cold beers via their high tech tap system. In addition to pouring local craft beer RedFin also has an exceptional wine list and serves creative craft cocktails. The bar makes their own mixes in-house with fresh squeezed juices.

The restaurant has a lively bar, comfortable dining room and welcoming dog friendly patio. RedFin is incredibly family friendly with a covered playscape with nearby picnic tables and offers a kid\’s menu.

Happy hour is an excellent time to stop in and enjoy enticing specials on drinks and food. The happy hour menu is offered Monday-Friday from 3 PM-6 PM. The crispy mini short rib tacos on a bed of black bean puree is a great way to start off a meal. The savory short ribs are delectable and $7 during happy hour.

Peel & Eat Shrimp at RedFin Seafood Kitchen

The peel & eat shrimp served with a tantalizing house-made spicy cocktail sauce is a great introduction to the seafood menu. The shrimp are served with your choice of 6 or 12 count and is $5-10 during happy hour.

Mexican Ceviche at RedFin Seafood Kitchen

The Mexican ceviche is a must try! The marinated fish & shrimp is full of refreshing and tangy flavors.

Pan-Seared Crab Cake at RedFin Seafood Kitchen

The pan-seared crab cake is delightful. This dish is plated with wild arugula pesto on top of a mouthwatering tomato-shallot salad.
