East Side King Now Open in Cedar Park, TX

When I bought a home in Cedar Park, TX just over a decade ago I did not anticipate how much our city would grow. I am delighted that within minutes we now have local favorite coffee shops, hip spin studios and delicious eateries. Also about a decade ago, East Side King launched their first food trailer and quickly started popping up at food festivals and opened brick-and-mortars. It is exciting for the area to welcome incredible Central Texas born restaurants like East Side King to the neighborhood!

I previewed the Cedar Park location earlier this week and am impressed with the swift transition. Guests are greeted with recognizable vibrant murals synonymous with East Side King. Their are cozy booths seating, gorgeous wood tables that are perfect for communal and/or family friendly (ahem perfect photo ops my fellow bloggers), bar seating facing the kitchen and a dog friendly patio.

Pork Belly Meshi East Side King

The menu includes ESK OG favorites along with hardier meshi dishes. Notably the menu includes gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. I recommend the Pork Belly Buns, Pork Belly Meshi, Red Chili Wontons and if you like variety, the Bento Boxes are perfect. I could not get enough of the rich Pork Belly Meshi, spicy wontons and make-you-wanna eat your veggies Beet Fries during our visit!

Operations for East Side King will be managed by Austin-grown Murphy Adams Restaurant group and East Side King founder and managing partner Moto Utsunomiya. In addition to their Cedar Park location which is in the former Mama Fu\’s space 4701 183A Toll Rd. Ste. C, a second at the Arboretum is scheduled to open on January 29 at 10710 Research Blvd. Suite 328 Austin, Texas 78759. Two more locations are slated for February and March 2020: one in the Bulverde area and the other off of North Guadalupe near the University of Texas campus. The partnership will help scale the brand and spread the deliciousness of ESK to more areas.
